The free spirit tree spheres, the spheres built in trees in Canada

The free spirit tree spheres could be described as large balls or pods suspended from trees, handcrafted using natural woods from the surrounding lush forests.

This unique resort is located in Qualicum Beach, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It is a privileged place where you can feel the spirit of nature in all its splendor.

The restless minded man behind this project is the writer. technician, shipbuilding engineer, who goes by the name of Tom Chudleigh. He and his partner Rosey Cowan were both seriously ill a few years ago.

They spent considerable time so they decided to change their lifestyle, moving from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace and quiet. That offered them the majestic landscapes of the Canadian forests.

Of the two spheres, Eva is the name given to the smaller one. Despite the small space inside, there is room for a bed that is approximately 90cm in size, ideal for two people. There is also a table with its corresponding stools, and counter space where you can make coffee or prepare some home-cooked meals.

One aspect to highlight The Free Spirit Tree Spheres, is that despite its rustic appearance, has all the technological advances that can be required, such as a home automation system that can regulate energy or bio-climatic aspects. In addition to a fantastic surround sound system in which you only have to connect your iPod or other MP3 player and enjoy great acoustics that are truly unique to be inside a sphere.

The general impression of the interior is that of being in a cozy environment. Eryn the larger sphere has similarities to the Nautirus ship described in the famous adventure novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea written by Jules Verne. The sensation of living an experience that is more like an adventure where the feeling of weightlessness transmitted by hanging from the trees at night is unique.
